Speckled Star Chickens?

    Do we have them here in the US? A friend of mine wants them, but I've only found them in the UK.

    Hmm, I havent ever heard of them, one site says they are a maran crossed with a barred rock so probably just a cross to get some hybrid vigor.

    I just looked at some more pictures of the hens and they almost look like a birchen bird with barring. I cant find any pictures of the roosters though.

    I saw the reddish in them too... Kinda wonder how they got that from a marans and a barred rock... Interesting though!

    The Speckled Star chicken is a hybrid between a Barred Plymouth Rock and a Rhode Island Red. This is a picture of one from Meadowsweet poultry services.
