Hey everyone! i got this pretty little chicken here, but i dont know if its a hen or roo! Its a speckled sussex and its about 16-18 weeks old. i havent heard crowing yet, but ive never been up early enough to know! it dosent have as much white as the other speckled sussex we have that is a roo. The third and fourth pics are of the Sure-to-be-roo so dont get confused! if you need any more info or pics just say so!

Yes, but thats our SS roo in that pic!
Fred's Hens :

Are those drooping saddle feathers I see on that 3rd pic?

I'm thinking it's a maturing hen, but a better profile shot would help, ie looking for saddle feathers.

I'm thinking hen too but a better side on profile shot would be better including the legs please.

I'm also thinking hen at this point- but it is hard to tell with her 2 pics.

most SS from the non show lines have a decent size comb & wattles.
