Speckled Sussex: Roo or Pullet

Now that it has been a month can you tell if it was more of a pullet than a roo? I have one that is only a week old and I am HOPING it is a pullet.

Sorry that I am just seeing your post. I will try to take some pictures of her this weekend to post and see what everyone thinks. I am thinking that (s)he is a pullet, but I still have a few doubts.

I got these pictures the other day. I will try to get some side and tail pictures this weekend. Hints of greenish feathers are coming in everywhere. I feel like the comb and wattles are still very pale and small. These were taken at 11 weeks old.

Just got around to taking updated pictures today. (S)he is a little over 12 weeks old today. Can anyone chime in on the gender? Do both genders have green in their feathers?

After I took the pictures and started looking back through them, I realized that s(he) found a dragonfly. I thought they were too cute not to share.

The green sheen is common in black feathers of both genders of any breed. It's not an indicator of male. Her comb is small and pale still, she's all pullet.

I think she is a pullet also. I thought I saw some pointy hackle feathers on her in some of the photos but, think it's the coloring that makes it look that way.

I think that is what confuses me the most about her. Her feathers are very long, slender, and look a little pointy compared to all of the other breeds we have.
