Speckled Sussex, who has them? Apparently I do! Pic pg 3!

You could be surprised.

Here is "Olivia" that we originally named 'Oliver'.

Well I guess we have answered the roo vs. pullet question tonight. Ol' Fudgie just crowed something terrible, sounded like a hawk screaming. The whole house had to run in there and check him out, I thought he was trapped or smething....

He's about 11 days old today LOL! If he keeps that up he's goin' outside. My nerves can't take that!!

Have to agree. I have a bunch of SS chicks now I am growing out and they ALL have white legs. My adult pair also. Here is a picture of our Welsummers when they were babies....and if it is Welsummer I would say roo.

Both our Wellie Roos are sweet and gentle. Very colorful also.

Well what's next with this crazy chicken!!! I was going by speckled sussex because that's what the guy from whom I purchased the "white silkie eggs" said he had. Who knows at this point! Maybe he is a hawk and that explains that shrill SCREEEEEEEEEEEE! he let out last night, wailing like a banshee!

His legs are definitely yellow. He's strong too.

It's nuts.

Oh and I forgot to say, apparently "ebay's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!"

edited to include pithy saying..

I have some Welsummer eggs and also some Speckled Sussex eggs if you want to try some of each, I'd be delighted to provide them for you.....

We love our Speckled sussex - they are so friendly and happy and cuddly. Eat from our hands....

Our Welsummers are also just beautiful birds as well and lay a really nice colored egg.

Mahonri is that my bird? She is beautiful.....

Well, if you decide what eggs you want to try, just give me a pm and I'd be blessed to help you!
Here's our baby Speckled Sussex pic:
