Sweet birds, very much underfoot, and talkative. Mine are about 14wks old and I'm loving them.

Well whatever he is, the little nut is crowing in the mornings!!! Maybe he's a mutt of some sort? The egg was the same size and color as showgirl eggs. But he's huge. Soon as some more of his feathers grow in I'll take another pic, maybe we can get him identified once and for all.

My Sussex are excellent layers. They are the most docile breed I have ever had.

That's a really good picture. I wish my photos would turn out like that. Taking photos is not my forté. My photos always seem to have the birds at weird angle or have bits cut off.
