The comb looks pretty large for 6 weeks, so I think cockerel.

Here's a photo of my two Speckled Sussex at five weeks for comparison. The one with the bigger comb and eye is what I found out is my rooster now, whereas the smaller one is my hen.
I'm not sure whether yours is a Cockerel or not but I hope the photo helps to see the difference between them at a similar-ish age.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! We have had our fingers crossed it was going to be a hen since we didn’t have one to compare it with! We will be sad to give him up, but thankfully my brother will be able to take him and we can visit!

Updated pic of Hei hei. Still waiting impatiently . 11 weeks. No crowing or turning bright red. Super sweet! Still holding out for pullet.

I'm still thinking cockerel. But who knows, could be a early developing pullet, although I don't think that myself.
