Speckled Sussex?

I would say the first one is a SS Roo. The second looks kinda like a mix. I'm not sure on that one.

These were mystery chicks from a Meyer Hatchery order. Would you say Speckled Sussex? They are 18 weeks old. Is the first one a rooster?

Hi folks! I am the happy parent of 5 Speckled Sussex, 4 hens and a rooster. Here are some pictures of them:

My rooster is in the far left of this picture.

They both look an awful lot like a Jubilee Orpingtons imo. Given the size, tail carriage and excessive fluff, I'd almost bet you got a pair of JO. If that's the case, you hit the chicken lotto. Lol! Nice looking birds! (The image is one I found online of a Jubilee. The older they get, the more "spangles" start coming out.)

They both ended up being Jubilee Orpingtons.

I'll be hatching chicks in the spring. It's nice actually. I found out that makes feather out with more white until they mature. Then after molting they look real nice.
