Speckled Sussex?

the one on the left was identified by the hatchery as an SS, they marked him with green on his head. The one on the right was marked as a Partridge Rock. Did they mark them wrong?

The one on the left with the green dot on its head looks like a speckled sussex chick.

Now watch for leg color... Speckled Sussex should have white legs and partridge rocks should have yellow legs. I've got some leghorns chicks in the brooder right now. They are around 12 days old and are showing yellow pigmentation in their legs. Give your chicks a few more days and then check leg color.

No, no mistake there. The one on the left with the green dot, has the dorsal stripe over the skull which is eWh and e+ locus birds. In this case, an eWh Speckled Sussex. The one on the right wears the brown helmet of the eb bird. A trademark of the eb Brown Partridge.

I have 3 SS pullets (2 months old) from Murry McMurry. I can't wait for them to start laying. They are very pretty birds. I am hoping for a lot of speckling.

Picked up a cute little speckled sussex she is 4 weeks old. We think pullet? Out of the 10 to choose from she was the smallest and only one who had a tail and the smallest comb and legs.

My 18 week old speckled sussex. How concerned should I be that she is starting to look like a rooster to me? No spurs and no crowing but the comb, as you can see, is much more advanced than my other speckled. What say you egger or roaster?
