I am thinking about this breed, everything I've read indicates that these are good dual purpose, cold tolerant, good foragers, good setters, and generally easy going birds.

I am looking for a small flock to free range for dual purpose use. Anyone have first hand experience with this breed? What is your opinion?

Good foragers yes, cold tolerant yes, easy going double yes, good setter mine isn't but she may be a minority.
They are however very nosy chickens, will always be around seeing what you're doing. Also prone to just jump up and perch on you randomly.
Eggs from the hen are unusually round like a ping pong ball. Iv'e only hatched one of my hen's and had to assist because the chick was literally suctioned into the bottom of that ball egg.
