One of my "White Rock" hens has black speckles.
I was told they are all White Rocks, but i'm pretty sure she is a cross, right? lol
I don't think White Rocks can have dark markings?
Wonder what she could be crossed with?

A Gene Defaulted White Rock???? Come One, I Think , At Best, It Is A Hatchery Grade Delaware Or Light Sussex Mixed With A White Rock. No Matter What She Looks Happy And Healthy So Enjoy The Fine Eggs She Will Provide No Matter What She Is. Delawares, Sussexs, And White Rocks Are Fine Egg Layers!

you have another hen there that shows a tinge of rusty red in the shoulder area. so many hatchery chickens can have a little anything in them. I guess it is both the effort to produce a production hen and just loose quality control. so many of the eggs are contracted out to small producers.
