The Chicken Lady and silkichicken...thank you for your compliments and for the appreciation of the time involved. That man's outfit took me about 14 months of beading every night and several hours per day...but the end result and the look on the face of the person I made it for was worth every second.

I will put up a pic of Suede drawn on the deer hide later this week...after I examine the beads and make sure they are what I want...then I will draw him on the hide.

Ugly Cowboy...yes both DH and I made buckskin clothing. Most regalia but I have made some contemporary stuff as well as mountain man stuff. I only use braintanned hides that either DH or I tan which runs about 15.00 per sq ft. But...it will be here longer than any other leather made...just check the museums...braintan shirts that are 200 years old still look barely worn.

Whatcha looking for? One of us has probably made it or have the pattern for it.

beads beads and more beads....they are all here. Now to sort through them and see if they are what I want...I sure hope so.

More updates later...

Oohhh, pretty, pretty, Cetawin. Veeery Nice work. I just found this thread and will be excited to see your project progress. I've always loved beadwork, did a little myself back in the day when I could see, but nothing that intricate or time consuming. I am excited for you.

The original picture...getting the colors close is what I am shooting for. There is no way to get his blues perfect so close will do.

So I am off to finish watching the extended version of "Return of the King" and continue working on Suede. My artwork is not great but it will serve the purpose of keeping me focused on the beading. More updates later.

Wow. The time, the materials and the talent. What a combo!!

Cetawin, you do beautiful work. I've done just enough loomwork & just enough bead trim on leather to know you are truly a master!! Amazing!!

I cannot imagine the weight of that full regalia outfit. I'd collapse from exhaustion before the dance began!! Those little bitty beads get heavy when you're wearing millions of them...
