my dh broke his leg 2 years ago we had a 4wheeler wreck...he was laid up 2 months...after about 2 weeks I was about tired of him.....I tried to be sympathetic...at the time I was keeping my 9 month grandbaby too....everytime me and dh went to go anywhere I would have to put him in the back seat of the car because he could not bend his leg and put his crutches in and get them all out....he was ill and i was ill....I feel sympathy for your husband too as for you....

i was a manager at a huge warehouse,,, i went back to work 13 days after my wreck ,,, i still dont remember most of anything from 3 hours before,, till bout a year or so after,, lol guess i couldnt stand being home either hahahahaha

Well, my DH deserves lots of praise. I'm just afraid he'll get hurt out there while tending the chickens and then we'll really be in a pickle. No one could take care of my birds for us. My neighbor friend would want to, but she is nervous around chickens due to a mean rooster in her childhood.

I second Carrie...glad you're here, Jim. You make me laugh.

well if I was closer I would take care of your chickens for you.

but because of the snow I unfortunately could not find any eggs and went home quickly after I gave them food and unfroze their water.

Updating my BYC family on my injury. I am now starting to take light steps on the broken ankle while holding the walker. Its nice to feel I have a bit of balance back-I was really tired of hopping on one leg! It's very swollen still so without the clunky black boot, I cannot place it flat, at a 90* angle, but that will come when it "deflates" a bit.

Folks, I am getting better and I love helping out, but if you have questions that can be answered on the forum, I'd be ever so grateful if you would post them there rather than send me a PM. Please, only personal PMs and emails, if you would. The leg may be healing, but this past month has taken alot out of me and I'm still exhausted. However, it's all good, and I'm progressing very well, considering how bad the break was. Thanks for all your well-wishes during this time!
