spelling and pronunciation

^^^ that's my thoughts exactly. I dont know how someone can buy ANY animal from anyone if they dont know anything about them esp the part about spelling. IMO if you breed or raise an animal and are selling it, you surely should know how to take care of it let alone spell its name lol!

Like POMPERANIANS, HAMPSTERS, PHILLYS, German Sheperds....i could go on

Nothing drives me more insane than that! I can't help but feel that they're uneducated if they can't even get the basic spelling of the creature that they're breeding and selling. Dachshund misspellings really get to me. What makes me want to rip my hair out? "We have three doxhounds for sell" or "We bread our very own dachshounds, we are saling them for $500 each".

peckish peckish.
not everyone who can not spell something is ignoant. in this day and age a lot is done in chat speak, which drives me right over the deep edge of sanity( short trip)

not everyone speaks the same way, here in NewHampshire, depending on the area,
its said New Hamp"sha":
New Hamp"shire"
and the proper way of New Hamp"sure"

I grew up in Florida, vacationed in Maine.and eventuallly the parents moved us to New Hampshire
I neither speak any differently now than I did growing up in these 3 areas Although people tell me I do talk funny.
and at 50 I do take shortcuts, rather than look up proper spelling I just roll with it.
if someone cant spell properly meet them in person you just may be surprised how intelegent they really are.

While we are on the this pronunciation subject-looking through my new chicken catalog I wondered how 'Minorcas' (minor-cause?) is said. I live not too far from a city called Wian-dot and five miles from Mis zour ee. Depends on our accent and where you live. Just should be spelled the same;)

Someone sent me a reply to an email today..."FYI: im going to breed Buff Orphingtons and americaunas as well if interested.they are meat and egg chickens and dosile, gental temperment like silkies"

There was a whole thread of Craig's List bloopers...guess where I first contacted this person??

Just think it is funny, not judging.

I grew up in New Hamp-sha. Wicked Good!

I knew a turkey farmer , really bad at spelling, everyone talked about him made fun of him ! nowhere could find better birds or better information about rasing turkeys kinda funny how that works out! people came from miles around to talk to this old turkey farmer, was a real nice caring guy!! gave speaches to the 4-h kids and the FFA, I heard him talk at the fair grounds years ago! I heard he was hatching turkeys in washington state somewhere tom!!!!
