Spent Grains

Does anyone give their birds spent grain from brewing their own beer? I always have about 10lbs. of these after brewing a batch and hate to just toss them out. Plus how do you save them without mold setting in?

I have dumped the whole mash tun in the spot where we compost, and the chickens did enjoy scratching at it and ate some, but it wasn't a favorite food. Worms seemed to like it, and the chickens liked the worms though!

If you have more than you can feed in a day or two, maybe freeze some?
