Spiders...

We get HUGE banana spiders here- I usually just negotiate with them and the 9 million snakes in our area. But roaches? Oh no, I am SOOOO outta there! The big ones here fly at you-

I love spiders.

I attempt to save them whenever my friends try to kill 'em.

They're much better than all the pest insects that they kill...

Glad to know I'm not the only one! Man, I am hoping my girls will do a good spider patrol in their coop this year, but the ceiling has a chicken wire screen and those spider beasts hang out up there where the girls can't get them. I'm going to try swatting them down so the chickens can gobble them up. You guys mentioned the Hoover method, and I was thinking of taking the vacuum out there with me if things get too awful to bear! I have an outlet in the coop, so I'm all set. I go into panic mode when I see a spider, especially the wolf types that hang out with the chickens. I can't take it!! I mean, I nearly pass out, spots in front of my eyes, dizzy, the whole nine! I need professional mental help, I'm sure!

Spiders are about the only "thing" I absolutely can't stand....

Around where I live we have all kinds of them - the worst are those hairy black ones that look like mini tarantulas and the really aggressive ones that jump at you.

The worst thing is, I am even too chicken to kill the darn things... I always have to get someone else to do it for me (partly because I feel guilty, partly because I can't even get myself close enough to them to do it)!

I have many embarrassing spider stories - all because I get so worked up and freak out when they're in my sight... it's rather horrible actually...​

Is anyone else not at all looking forward to spiders lurking all over the chicken coop? I swear, I can't stand going in there when the weather warms up. It gives me the shivers, just anticipating their beady eyes and furry bodies scampering about. Bleck!!

Am I the only one plagued by the fear?

Sounds like my wife Angela, when she see spiders she starts screeming like the war has started

I'm not a fan of spiders at all. I had a spider bite a few years ago, and it made my whole leg swell up, and hurt really bad.
