Spiders...

Ivan, I think that last pic is one of the Adams family hot rods I described. They are the absolute most frightening, more so than the black widow before it! Lisa

i love spiders, snakes and frogs. Don't like rats cause they pee on everything in my shed so I scream like a mad man and try to kill them with anything I can get my hands, or feet on. I don't like brown recluse or black widows, even though I admire their beauty.

I like spiders and capture and release them (to the dismay of my wife). I'd much rather have spiders than flys and moths. The only ones I'll kill are the local poisonous ones (recluse and some other brown one that's recently been taking off round here).

I do have to admit I don't understand buying tapes of frogs. They are soooo load and annoying a dusk/dark. I can't stand it, one of the reasons I'm glad I live in a city and not the country.

Hey!!!!!!! Ivan3, that was just rude to post those pictures! I jumped up and ran away from my computer!

Although... I am resolving to get over this phobia, so maybe I should use your photos to condition myself. They are really GRUESOME! Thanks for sharing.... I guess.

I like most spiders, especially the orbs. I'm not a recluse fan. I have two ankle scars from not shaking out my boots properly. My ex and 3 of my kids were spider phobic. He was careful not to react in front of the kids. I think it's genetic. I used a spider in a jar to desensitize my sons and while they still don't like them, the panic is gone. My DD would have none of it. She's 28 and still runs, shakes and screams.

The bite of the big one causes a tiny bit of necrosis, but heals up fast. I know what did the deed because the fang punctures are too far apart to be anything else.
The Black Widows are the only ones we knock off (can be very aggressive), the Brown Recluse usually find their way into the bathtub and just get washed down the drain. Plenty of spiders here, and they have lots to eat.

Here are two more for those continuing their therapy (you can do it, touch the screen). They don't mean any harm.
