Thanks!! Ruru, did you ever cheat and let your goose's leg get wet when pinned up? My vet said he wanted Spirit's leg kept dry, but I have not had the heart to keep him inside even though we have had light rain showers these last few days. Also, I cheated twice and let him swim in kiddy pool twice last week.

Triplell, I just love how silly and fun geese are. They are wonderful therapy if you have a bad or stressful day. I'm so glad you have your group to help lighten your day.

Thanks Iian and Psue, tonite after a very long and drawen out day I sat in the barn for over an hour just watching them and talking to all the geese, ducks, and chicken. I have a extremely robust Call drake and he was trying to mate with a goose,Rouen, and even a chicken!!!! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard as I did.:lau Well for the next 30 day's I am on my own as far as doing chores. The DH is in treatment again, had to take him to detox yesterday, very depressed and very DRUNK. I about craped when they did and breath-a-lizer and it was 2.3!!!:th So now I will be driving 70 miles round trip to see him 3-4 times a week. :hit Sorry for my jibber jaming. HOW IS SPIRIT TODAY!!:pop

It's really good to see you. Glad you found the thread!

Triplell, what a drag!!! UGH! No offense, but I would personally not visit him. Take the time to focus on you while he hopefully gets the help he needs. The time spent driving 70 miles is time that could be spent with your wonderful animals, which is healthy and good for your soul.

While this is true, he also was a veitnam vet and has problems with PTSD. My dad has the same and family support can mean everything. I will be going to a-lon meatings while he is in treatment so that I can help when he comes home and give much support to him as well as getting the supprort that I need. This is gonna be a long process but hopefully the man I married will slowly come out of his shell. His family has never supported him and left him on his own. I will stand by him and help him stand tall and be proud of himself.:hugs My animals have alway's been my salvation next to God. I talk out most of my problems to them and they are alway's welcome to listen and sometimes I get answers back. But most of all I get losts of love in return.:love

Triplell, you have a positive and supportive attitude. Your husband is a lucky man to have you.

Spirit is trucking on, as his usual self.
