Spirit - the amazing grey dewlap toulouse gander!

Iain the only place you can get the books about Oliver right now is via through Leesa. You can see her email address or Olivers on one of the photos. You can not purchase them in stores unless something wonderful happens and this gets out about her books. So if you want one go to Leesa and she will be glad to send one to you. It is a paper back book and as I said $8.00.

Leesa is so pleased that the Farm plce she went to invited her back for next year. She is just so excited.. Leesa is just a WONDERFUL person and I am so happy that I could send her Oliver. He was a gosling that loved attention and that is what he gets from Leesa. She treats him like he is her baby or son.

Miss Lydia sebastopols the male only gets to about 15 to 16 pounds and the females 10 to 12 pounds. They are a medium sized goose.

I raise my goslings in the house in my bathroom until they get healthy enough to go out into the garage into a horse troft with a heat lamp on them. I let momma hatch what she can and I try to hatch some but last year my incubator was not working righ and lost a bunch of eggs....

I try to handle them as much as possible so they know humans well and that we will not harm them.

This thread is fun and have lots of touching stories. No matter what type of goose it is I enjoy reading about them. At one time I wanted Dewlaps bought some eggs and none of them hatched. The person said they would send me more but never heard another word from them and they changed email addresses after selling their eggs on ebay.

No thank you Iain it broke my heart when the one was hatching out of 8 eggs and it died.... So I decided to stay with sebastopols. My husband would not be happy if I got a different breed of goose! He wants me to get rid of all the pets now... No way will I part with my sebbies until I can no longer take care of them properly~~~

I have a brand new video that Leesa made with Oliver last night... My gosh that Oliver listens to her...

Here is the website to go to.

The flock is doing well.

Everyone is growing, and Baby is trying very hard to walk, but she's not got it relearned yet. She keeps trying to walk on one knee, but she's trying very hard. I do leg and foot stretches with her, trying to uncurl the foot and straighten the leg. The tendons have tightened up on her a bit.
