Thanks, guys. Bonnie is hanging on and slowly responding to the meds. We know she does not have much time left, but are grateful for each bonus day.

Iain I am glad that Bonnie is responding to the meds. Tommarrow I take my CJ into the Vet at 9am. He had another small seizure tonite while I was gone visiting with the DH. It seems like my voice is was get him to calm down and come around again. Dad had to call me to have me talk to CJ, poor Dad. I am praying for you and Bonnie and you are in my thoughts.

Bonnie amazingly bounced back again. The vet thinks she got an upper respiratory infection, which can take out a cancer patient out pretty quickly. But the antibiotic shot knocked it out of her system, and the Benadryl and Pepcid ac made her feel better, too. He is back to saying he believes we still have weeks, if not another month or two, left with her.

Triplell, I am hoping for the best for your pup. Please let us know what happens with vet today!!

Good Morning,
Well I am back from the Vet and CJ does have epilepsy, he had another small seizure this morning and another at the vets office. So now he is on phenabarbital. UGH!!!!!!!:th He also weighs 110 lbs, for a yellow lab that seems like he would be fat but he is almost twice the size of most of them. CJ also towers over all his siblings and parents.

Iain, I am so glad that Bonnie bounced back so you can create more good memories with her.

Alaskan, thank you!

Tripell, Modern medicine and expensive drugs can create miracles. We are grateful for the extra time. I'm very sorry to hear about your pup. Any possible diagnosis of the underlying cause for the epilepsy?

We did some blood work to rule out organ problems. The organs are just fine. The vet did say that most likely it is genetics and Labs often get it only most owners don't pay enough attention to catch or recognize them when they do see them. Owners usually only see about 25% of the seizures and I have seen three of them. One was right in front of the Vet himself.
