Well, if you are in the northern hemisphere, it is getting darker every day.
Shoul I add a light to the coop and extend their daylight?

That drop in daylight hours often keeps young pullets from laying.

We are still waiting patiently and hoping it won't be long.

If you want eggs before Jan or Feb. then yes, you need to put in a light on a timer. I think you need a minimum of 12 hours of daylight.

I am new to Spitzhaubens but most of our other breeds lay without extra light but they slow down a lot during winter.

I think if any pullets are at point of lay when it starts getting really dark, then they are much more likely to not lay until spring.

And of course, some breeds are better winter layers than others.
