Hans and Dottie (posts above). I love these two! I had a bad hatch and only got one chick from them, although all but one was fertile. Hatched on the 3rd of May. I am pretty sure he is a boy. What a bold attitude and such a character! Took the pic under the red light. Markie is in front. I will have to do one under the white light.

Hi neighbor & ! (I'm in DuPage Co too.) Our DD is in 4H & started doing poultry about 4 yrs ago. If you are permitted to keep roosters, we may have some extra Spitzhaubens for you. I'll post pics when we know the genders. (We're mostly into Orpingtons but we hatched some Spitzhaubens last summer & had a lot of fun with them. We only had enough room to keep one over the winter- and sadly she was killed by a hungry hawk. So, we're starting all over.)

i have 5 straight run, so i might have extra roos too... time will tell. i have extra orp hens that are started as well as other breeds and mixes if you wanted more. We are unincorp'd so our rules are a little different.

Not really chicken related, but I just finished putting together DD's dance recital video. (The one for which I made the hairpieces out of our Spitzhauben & Dominique feathers. ) She had a rough day yesterday (just normal middle school stuff), so if you want to help me cheer her up, please give her a Youtube like.
