Congrats on the find!!

Ohhhh, thanks for the info.

I knew about Nancy Utterback. Half of the birds I got from Dick came from her. Come to think of it, I don't know where the other half came from.....hmmmmm....

And thanks guys! I'll try to get pics posted some time next week. I'm driving to Knoxville both today AND Friday, so I'm going to be pretty wiped out this weekend!

Ione okayyyy jealous... You do understand that should you come across good Rocks on your side of the state or a particularly nice cochin that you're under orders to snatch it up and email me. After all you're still coming by.

The bator is still peeping! At this point if they come out I may just throttle them... Sigh.

Key West Chick -- the birds I got that came originally from Nancy are buff, so I know she has colors at least occasionally.

I picked up my little splash birds today! Yippee!

I think they are quite pretty. Nice round stocky bodies, don't seem to be leggy (I'm not passing final judgment til they settle in), nice little combs, no signs of tails. Green legs on the hens, though. The roo has one big tuft, the hens are clean faced. Interestingly, the roo has a lot of red (bleed through?) in his splashing, around the hackle and saddle areas. That's making me think about what genes he might be hiding! Red splash, anyone?

I'm going to try to take pics of alllllllllll the birds this coming week. I'll post em when I get em. Stay Tuned!

Just lost my darling Araucana large fowl white rooster, Arnold, along with two of his daughters, to a dog visiting a neighbor. Got him from Nancy Utterback in 2006 at the big Indianapolis show.

Need to know my cost of replacement, which I think will be difficult, as he was a one-of-a-kind bird to me. But do need to try to be reimbursed by the owner of the dog.

Have very on-and-off fragile internet access at home and don't get into town as often as I'd like, so my home phone is 575-437-0545, if anyone can help me out. Would be glad to call anyone back (in this country) to save them the phone charges, if necessary.

Merry Christmas, best regards. Thanks to anyone who's willing to help me in this quest.
