Splash Australorps

The only Australorps that we have in the US is the black variety. That is the only one that I know of anyway.

We DO have Blue Australorp breeders in here....there was a thread on them.

To create Splash Aussies, you would need to start off with a Splash Orpington.

read through this, it says in the first sentence that it is for the colors white, blue, and splash too.

Ok. Well I am in Australia and I do have blue and splash Australorps. As well as the black.
The BBS colours works the same as silkies do. Is this true in other countries as well?

To breed splash cross a blue with a blue approx 25% of offspring will be splash ,all it is ,is a double dilution of black (bl+/bl+) ...blue = (Bl/bl+) and splash is Bl/Bl)
