Here are some closer pics. Male or female opinion?

Here are some better pics of the two...
Blue hopefully girl

Black very much boy he started making all kinds of noises when we pulled the blue one out to take pictures.

It still looks pretty boyish, but I swore up and down one of my splash hens was a boy until the day she laid an egg. It looks like its starting to get streamers, but sometimes their crests just go all wonky when they're growing in.
Just to show you how feminine a Silkie rooster can look (and he looks rather manly now, bur was very girlish as a cockerel), here's my boy Early.

I couldn't find any younger pics of him, but here's a blue rooster I used to have.

The blue one in the middle turned into this:

Heres my blue as a pullet, about the same age as yours is now, maybe a month older:

And now:

I'm sure that doesn't help one bit, bought I thought it would help if you can see how much they change and had something to compare to. The sad truth of the matter is any of us are just guessing. I sometimes guess my own birds right, and I know their line and what to look for with them. Even with me being familiar with my birds, I still get fooled..

Well I am hoping the crowing of the black one means he is for sure a roo? I suppose we will just wait and see if the blue starts crowing or lays an egg...hopefully the later

This is the only other photo I have for now. We have a Black Roo also and she looks nothing like him. We've checked "her" for spurs and she has none of the straight feathers that males are said to have & she is significantly smaller than him.
Spur are late to develop--with silkies far too late to help in determining gender. Is you known boy older? that could be why he looks different than the blue. It looks like a cockerel in both photos to me.
