Splash/ Blue Silkie Thread

I have one of these. She is 3 months old and she has the blue color that I see in the pictures. I have two questions to ask about silkes 1st is can you wash these birds with baby shampoo or do I need a special shampoo for these birds and 2nd my bird has an extra toes and do you leg ban these chickens and if you do where do you put the ban?

I bathe my silkies using kitty shampoo for ticks and fleas. I use leg bands with numbers for my silkies starting at four months old. I use zip ties before that but I don't recommend it unless you are very attentive to your birds. You wouldn't want to forget about them.

I toe punch my day old chicks to tell them apart from pen to pen and year to year. Some people use wing bands. The leg bands fit right above their feet.

I use size #10. #11 is kind of big except for big beefy silkie males. I don't have any like that

I have 2 blues that are about 7 weeks old. They are still so small! I'm afraid to put them with my other 7 chickens. How long do they take to reach full size and when do they start to lay?
