Splash Marans Rooster with Red in Wings.

I have a splash marans rooster that I hatched out from a lady in Texas. He came from an all splash flock. His brother is just a plain splash but he has some red in his wings. What could this be? I thought was blood at first. I'll tr to post some pics.

Sounds like red bleed-thru. It's a big fault in some blues (splash is just 2 copies of the blue gene) and if it's what I think it is, they say do not use them for breeding.
