Wow, sure does look like it. Maybe the buff was hiding something....I didn't know buffs could do that. Are you sure there was no chance of a blue roo in the mix somewhere?

Nope. Only have one roo, and he could definitely be hiding something!

i was told by 2 of the genetic gurus on here that self buff chickens can carry dun or blue genes.maybe yours has the blue gene(his tail looks bluish) and the blue hen=splash-maybe ?

It's quite possible. I don't believe the breeder was aiming for pure in colours.

Out of 20 it's the only splash though
