My birds get treats on feeding day once a week. I have 40 & 50 pound hanging feeders in all of the coops that I fill weekly. I give them treats when I feed. They do associate feed with the treats but the treats keeps them out while I'm filling the feeders. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck with your birds and have fun...

My treats are a mixture of scratch with cracked corn, sunflower seeds, rolled oats and some meal worms. The birds love it. Again, good luck and have fun...
