spot the odd one out!

i saw this in the backyard and after a song from some programme i remember as a kid, "one of these things is not like the other..." (electric company??) i ran inside to get the camera.

she was getting in the garden everyday for a couple of weeks before i worked out how. she'd been jumping up on some scaffolding i'd used to prune a big old plum tree and jumping over the fence. explained how come she was able to get in but not out, i was having to get her out everyday

no one else got in there though. i thought she'd gone off laying but then i found a nest in amongst the strawberries with about seven or so green eggs in it and she's the only one who lays green eggs...

really need to get on to sorting out the chimneys that got wrecked in the earthquake. it's been a lovely hot summer and the garden is looking great. gladys, the naughty girl in the garden, was doing a great job of weeding all around the corn plants for me, paid for it in strawberries though haha. going to be eating the first of the corn soon.

i spent all day outside in shorts and a t-shirt and had to hide from the sun in the middle of the day
