Sprain or something? Limping hen.

After all this time i doubt it was bumblefoot. The growth/bump on the spur heigh growed a little, it's hard and i noticed today that the spur on this leg is broken i think? It faces upwards and seems to be sticking to leg with only the upper side of the "base". However there is some tissue connecting the spur to the leg. It looks like dirt i guess but its hard. Imma post picture tomorrow. @nuthatched @Lizzy733

Youch! Can see why it's bothering her now.

I'd draw up some warm water and soak her feet in Epsom salts - preferably 30 mins + with the spur submersed. - the longer the better.

Pat the feet dry and see if you can further clean the wound so you can see it more clearly. - maybe a super soft bristled brush, like a baby toothbrush could be used?

How long has it possibly been like this again? Check the temp of the skin around it compared to the other leg to see if there's any localized fever. And after cleaning, see if there's a foul smell coming from the wound. This and localized fever would indicate infection or possibly rot and you may want to get a vet involved to see if the spur needs to be removed completely.

Looks like it'd be tricky to wrap without aggravating the injury, but applying antibiotic ointment without pain relief once it's fully cleaned is a must, I'd think.

I don't know if it was like that since the beginning because i noticed it a few days ago. She doesn't limp that bad now but all my hens that died and limped started badly and before dying you couldn't tell if she was limping and grandpa says that hey have probably had sick livers. I don't have any vet for chickens unfortunatelly.
What do you mean by clean the wound? I don't have epsom salt. Could i only use warm water? Same goes with antibiotic oinment. I have antiseptic sprays etc only.

@Lizzy733 can you please explain it? she isn't limping badly now and i see no change in her spur/leg but i'd like to help her

Warm water would be fine for soaking, but I'd try to get Epsom salt if you can as it tends to help with pain, swelling and would help clean the wound a bit and loosen up the tissues. It's typically a human product that's cheap and easy to find, so may be found in your local shop around the body wash, bubble bath, or homeopath section.

I'd recommend having a vet look it over as well. Does it have a foul smell coming from it at all?
If so, the wound may be rotting and I would 'strongly' recommend a vet as rot can spread, which will make the situation worse.

I didn't notice any smell, nor weird behaviour. She is as active as other chickens and except for limping (a bit) and the broken spur and bump, she's fine. What do you mean by the wound? The black material coming from the spur or what?

Exactly that, the black material around the spur.
