Actually I'm getting 9 out of an order of 17, another local person is splitting an order with me. And I deliberately over ordered so that if we had losses I would still have the total I needed. Everyone here took turns picking out chicks from the catalog and for the most part we got pretty or unusual birds with a few steady layers thrown in to meet the egg consumption quota.
