Spring 2017 first timers post!

the count down begins for me now cuz if all goes right i should be getting the email that my new babies are on the way and should here between tomorrow and Saturday and the anticipation is killing me I keep checking my email every hour to tell me they are on the way

yeah I got it around 4 today so now the waiting game really starts but now I hate to say it I hope I don't get the call tomorrow cuz I HAVE to go into work tomorrow with the hubby cuz they really need me just to get the job done tomorrow but I do have someone waiting by the phone to go pick them up if the call comes in but I really want to be the one to pick them up

So I have been reading for a couple weeks now on this post. I wanted to wait till I read through everything before posting but I was starting to feel like that day would never come! So I decided to skip ahead to the last five pages and then post. We got 7 chicks from our local Orschelns 2 1/2 weeks ago. 3 Barred Rocks 2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Ameraucanas. We are just loving them! After doing more reading though we have learned our coop is only big enough for 4 so we are looking for a new home for 3 of them. We are going to keep the 2 Ameraucanas 1 Barred Rock and 1 Rhode Island Red. This is such an awesome adventure already! We are already planning to build a bigger coop for next year!

I'm guessing you bought a pre-fab coop, I did the same thing! Its really the WORST kind of false advertising on those things, I can't imagine 6 full-size chicken in my TSC coop, now that I have my 3 six-week old chicks in there!

they came in today i'm so happy when I got the call they were in the day got so slow I was at work cuz they needed me to my neighbor went to pick them up for me and I just could't wait to get home
