i have never heard of penning a chicken with quail, does anyone else do that?

my quails are all inside.

The quails were outside in a pen & somehow he got in. My other 3 quaill are inside.

Poyo'sMama :

I might have one, my Game Fowl Cock (anyone want him, he's a fighter) killed all my quail in the coop & I have 3 quail left, 2 Corturnix & one Button (don't know the sex, but she's a silver).
Game Fowl Fighter Anyone?
He's pretty, his 'girlfriend' is my blue/buff Americana and I'd like to separate them, he won't let any of my younger ones in the coop:(

How old are the coturnix?

Is it possible you could separate them if they would be old enough to lay and see if they do? Can't afford to get any more cocks.

Buff Silkie Cockerel. Young about 4 months old. Good comb color toe placement could be a little better on one foot.

Have no idea what this is?? Got some eggs from another breeder and this hatched. They raise mostly Std. and have been working with "Mad Hatters" (never heard of them). Looks like a pullet right now. It's 4 months old.

The pullet has a single comb, she is 6 months old, laying great!! The male is an extra

He's not staying because of the size and color of his comb color

He is also about 6 months old, been with her. He is molting

Single comb male. He is about 4-5 months old.

That second pretty is a pullet and looks like a silver lakenvelder to me.
Very pretty.

Maybe... Or an SSH lol. (wishful thinking?) Tho looks like a single comb which would not be a SSH... in that case... I agree with shay!

lol

And your daughter would know if it was a SSH.

She needs to come to Shay's, Sarah really wants to keep her.. Everything we aren't sure of the breeds she calls "buzzard".....

I saw someone was looking for Dorkings..............I have a mating pair of Silver Grey Dorkings I would like to sell. They are about 6 months old. I got them from a breeder in Lancaster Ma. I was going to do the meat bird thing but then I realized how much I was taking on. They are beautiful. Any interest? I can email pics.

Of my EEs, all 3 single pullets are sold (June, Boo, and Anise). I still have the blue pullet and splash cockerel pair ($15), Buff splash cockerel ($3), Brown/rust cockerel ($5), and the 3 I will have in the auction.

I candled my Wyandotte and Wyandotte cross eggs in the bator and all 17 seem to be developing so I will hopefully have day olds for the chickenstock too!
