and here i have a house roo! (my boy doesn't start crowing till a light goes on in his area or its 7:30am!)

i may have 7 bantam cochin mixed chicks for sale. they'll be 4-7 weeks old by the time of the swap. moms could have been any one of my bantam girls-salmon fav, mahogany fav, black cochin, smooth feathered black sizzle (Shay now has her), buff brahma. 2 of the chicks i do know are crossed with a wc black polish but look to have cochin features (Shay has this girl now too).

i tried feather sexing them the day after each one hatched and all looked like they were pullets then. they've all feathered out at the same rate and quickly! but a few i am still undecided on since they have larger combs vs some of the others. i think those may be the full bantam cochins since they seem to have some heft to them as well.
here's the proud dad-Sunny!

OK. I know this isn't a chicken. But also have an older female ferret. She lost her buddy about a year ago and we can't let her run around the house, the farm dog wants to eat her

The dog doesn't bother anything else Sarah lets out in the house, birds, rabbits, whatever, but that ferret. Anyway it would be better for nicki to have a new home. She is free, she wouldn't have a cage, the cage she is in is borrowed. Not sure exactly how old she is, we have had her about 3 years and she was an adult when we got her.
