Mom and 3 chicks raising 8 hens. I a subdivision and hating it! Most neighbors are ok but the meanies have called codes twice. Codes have been very nice but now I'm afraid they will make us give up our ladies! My 11 yo is very bonded to them and it would break his heart. Glad to find this site though!

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about the problems you are having with Codes and the neighbors. TwoCrows gave some good links to help get you started figuring out what to do. Good luck with getting the Laws changed.

Maybe you could downsize to a couple of serama hens. Seramas are one of the smallest breeds of chicken, bred to be house pets. Some cage birds, parrots etc. are larger.
