Had a HUGE Burst of Energy yesterday with our Fabulous Weather !!
Made run a bit smaller, took out old hay/run crap and put in some new hay. New shed going where the Kiddy play house was and when the new netting arrives today I will replace the stuff that is currently there. Need to take out the tarp/panels and get new tarp for the 2 top sections closest to the coop for shade in summer.
Hoping to get some grass to grow to the far Left and around the Pond.

Still need to plant Elephant ears and Caladium around the Pond inside the cinder blocks. And get the pond pump going.

Reworking my temporary coop splitting wall so it's easier to put up and take down.
Outside nothing but adding more wood chips to run.

ETA...oh and, will change out the pine shavings in coop, toss them in the run, here pretty soon.

New bucket feeder that fits into the shady corner:

And curtains for the nest barrel:

Five chickens were totally fine with a view out the window when laying and they have all layed every single egg in the nest barrel. The sixth chicken had layed every single egg outside wherever she happened to be standing at the moment. The day before last was the day the curtains went up and the first day she ever layed in the nest. She loves her nest now and no more dirty eggs!

Well I'm going from a coop that's about 14 sq ft to a 10x6 coop, that's a start. Old coop is going to get disassembled into a chick brooder. And I need to clean out the run litter and get it into my newest garden bed, except maybe I haven't gotten that installed yet... Hoping to get all the clean out and additions done to the new coop in time to get chicks in late May!

How big is your run? Has the playhouse always been there and I missed it?
We are waiting for the weather to cooperate. Sigh.

I added a second tractor for my grow out cockerels - learning from the mistakes of my first one. This one is lighter and has wheels that can be put on/taken off very easily.

I also have what feels like a mile long list for coops and runs... One thing at a time, Orr, one thing at a time. :)

It has been there but I couldn't get it in the pic AND the coop :) from my my upstairs bedroom window. . The Kiddy house was next to the driveway Bamboo fence that got ruined this Winter. The Run used to be from the coop to the driveway, around 40-50 feet give or take.
Carport is 20 feet long, 10 wide, 10 (?) tall.

Saturday I took 7 bags of old hay/small rocks/run crap and 3 big old smelly wet bales of hay to the Dump, ran to TSC, semi-leveled out a section for the 1st shed.
DON"T EVER BUY A KETER SHED, They are CHEAP CHEAP and Flimsy !! No way that wafer board roof will hold much. :barnie Took me 6 HOURS, Rubbermaid is SO much better, solid and EASIER to put together. I have a 6x4.5 Rubbermaid one that will go next to the Keter and I bet it will go up in and hour.
Temps in 30's today so I think I will just make soap today.

Anyway ..
