"Spring/Summertime" Quilt Block Swap of 2010 **sign-ups closed**

I'm gonna make these funny frogs!

I have been debating with myself on whether I should or should not join this swap.....and have decided to go for it. Last year when I signed up for a swap like this but with a shorter deadline, the number of people who joined seemed to jump from 10 to 100 (okay that IS an exaggeration.....but to a novice quilter it may as well have been 100! LOL) in nothing flat. I simply could not do it. But, seeing as how the deadline for getting our blocks to Acres is easily 2.5 months away....and I am somewhat (gulp) more experienced...and if I get busy I can start building up a supply of blocks now, and maybe be a bit ahead......Please, count me in.

Go ahead and make 20 and if less than 10 sign up then well do 10 blocks instead (can be used for a throw quilt) and that way you'll have 2 throws that you can make if not a whole quilt

Did I jsut totally confuse you?

You don't have to make 20 different blocks....you can make 20 of the same block. That makes it easier for you to cut and construct your blocks.

Yes, Acre.....you can sign me up. NanaKat will join the fun. I can sew blocks around making a wedding dress for my daughter.

I'm a beginner when it comes to quilting, so I think I'll just watch ya'll enjoy the fun this time.

I do better making quilts from my own designs than by going by a pattern. I'm guess I'm weird like that.

No your not! Most of my quilts are made from my own designs as well. I can't do any of those fancy pieces. I can't get 2 to come out the same size. Even if I have some kind of pattern, I still put my own "flair" to it. Never been one to follow the rules, lol

Come along and join the fun. There are only a couple rules to this swap. 12 1/2 inch square and spring time theme. From there you can do whatever you want. I'm looking at doing applique frogs but who knows I may change it again, lol

Come out come out where ever you are!!!

I don't have a set pattern to go by as long as your block is 12 1/2 inches and the fabric is Spring/Summer fabric. So come on and join us in this swap....you will be surprised as what you might learn.
