Awwww!!! :love

Been meaning to ask.... Anyone ever had problems keeping kids and chickens together? (Be quiet chaos!) Like worm issues? What do you worm with, and how often?
-Banti

You ask good questions!

I don't have the answers. But my farm friend up the road has goats in with her guineas, turkeys, ducks, geese, and chickens. They all range together. The fowl all have access to the hog pen, also. And cattle section. Do I'm sure they're transferring things from everywhere.

She said with the goats that if their poop gets even a little soft age immediately worms them. So... There's some info. :weee

Hello, and welcome! I'm glad your candling went well. Local eggs are a good way to go, especially for your first attempt at hatching.

I'm glad things are going great!

Congratulations! Those are the cutest chicks yet! :love

Oh no Mike that's a bummer! I hope you can find some others!

A bunch of crazy mixes. I have four slots in the bator. Who gets set??

Hens: EE, BCM, polish, cochin, HRIR, australorp, mixes

Roos: HRIR, EE.
PRETTTYYYYYYY

I'm in! I have a bunch of eggs due to hatch tomorrow. I have to actualy count how many though lol
GOOD LUCK JESSS!!!!!!

So, 2 of my chicks popped out EXACTLY on time. They were set 21 days ago at 7pm and 2 popped out between 6:50 and 7:20pm.
But, I have no idea if the rest of this is going normal. I don't know if I am impatient, uneducated, worried or if something is off. Here are my stats and info I can provide. Any help or advise that is productive is welcome and appreciated.

2 hatched - they look kinda dinosaur-ish, but are moving around and active.
9 pipped - some right on air cell line some below
3 - have broken piece of shell off but not gone through the white membrane part, searched and found no additional info so I don't know if this is concerning
3 nothing at this point to report, but these were questionable at lockdown

Set at 7pm 3 Thrusdays ago; so this is either start of day 22 or start of day 21... how do chickens count again?!
Current Temp: 99.5
Current Humidity: 62%, has been from 57% to 65% for the past 24 hours.
I hope there is an update

Howdy,

Putting half dozen Svart Hona eggs in a Brinsea Mini Advanced (casual hatcher so only own a small capacity incubator) tomorrow (4/1) - setting at room temp currently trying/hoping to mend air cells and such courtesy of the USPS.

Just did my Day 14 candle. 7/8 eggs are looking good, lots of veining & saw a few moving around. One was darker & a bit harder to see. The air cell seemed small on that one too. I will have to look at it more closely on Day 18.

So the remaining eggs are 6 black/lavender cuckoo Orpington sex links (males will be cuckoo, females solid black or lavender), and 2 chocolate cuckoo Orps. Really looking forward to chickies hatching next week!

A bakers dozen! I have 13 chicks from the 17 fertile eggs!!!
3 of the 5 Farmers Market hatched - set 18... interesting!
10 of 12 Microfarm Hatched - set 12

These are my first hatch! I am very pleased with how it went. The eye has opened with no issues it seems. The naval seems to be drying and healing.
Here are some of them. It is a Barred Rock Rooster with an Easter Egger, Welsummer, or Australorp hen. You can tell the Easter Eggers (not in these photos) as they look like black and white chipmunks.
