WELCOME!!!!
Final count for the Bielefelder and Legbar eggs is:
Legbar 4 males, 2 females.
Bielefelder 3 males, 2 females.
Legbar eggs 6/6 hatched and Bielefelders 5/12 hatched.
Both local eggs.
I did only get 1 chick out of my shipped Gamefowl eggs, it is eating with some help, still can't stand up right though and has a cross beak. If it survives will have to be pet only

I found some info on geese.. takes 30 days to hatch. Temp the same as chicken but humidity between 60 / 75. Have not found anything on the lockdown. Is that at 18 days like chickens. I assume I should turn the eggs several times during the day. Any help would be appreciated.

GEESE

I woke up to finding one egg pipped this afternoon. YAY!!! Seeing a little beak poking out is so cool. I can tell it will have yellow down (these are barnyard mixes so there is telling what I'll end up with). Could hear cheaping from two other eggs as well. Can't wait to go home in the morning to see what I have waiting for me. My son is on chicken watch tonight. I told him to call or text if he sees any further progress.

Two of my chicks have pipped holes and are not zipping. I noticed the first one at 1 am. It didn't progress until 4. Now at another stand still. When should I assist? The humidity is in the high 60's so the inner she'll seems to not be shrink wrapping.
*IMPORTANT INFO= TIMELINES PIPS ZIPS!!! & MARKING AIR CELLS DAY 18, DRAW DOWN, INTERNAL PIP, EXTERNAL PIP, and ZIPPING post #35770

Here are the pictures of a few of my hatch for this Hatch A Long.

Not the best pictures. Not all the babies either.

Out if the 54 that hatched only 6 were fully feathered.

SWEET!!!
I have about 20 duck eggs on day 27, I think I have about 3 or four pips! I went to put them in the hatcher yesterday and found one had already pipped the small end!

I have a few button quail that are trying to hatch... I hope I get a couple! I don't know where I am going to put them?!

My silkies,Cochin and mystery eggs are on day 16!

I just set another 40 or so duck eggs the other day and will set a few Silkie eggs today, I have finally seen some action from my showgirl roo!

I love showgirl babies!!
MUST SEE FOWL!!! COME ON BABIES!!!!!

How many days did your ducks take, what was your temp and humidity, did you have a lockdown. Am thinking about trying some.

DUCKS
one of my little cockerels from last weekend hatch. Looking forward to hatch on this coming Tuesday!

Just got accused of giving away a rooster after he was supposedly mauled by a dog. Haven't they ever seen a molting rooster before?! (Granted he did have a couple peck marks, my lead hen didn't like his amorous attention)

Good evening, everyone!

Been a busy day, and practically non-stop. Didn't get as far along on the new coop as I'd like, but made progress just the same. I still have a month before it becomes needed, but I still have a long way to go, so the sooner I finish it, the better. Having a good helper would definitely speed things up, but I know things will be done to my specifications if I'm doing the work myself... lol!

Got the rafters built and installed. Was hoping to get the metal roofing on today, but when I discovered how bad the 2x4's I'd planned to use for purlins were, I decided I need some better boards. That'll have to wait until another day. This is it so far...

I decided to get a sneak peak at my eggs to see how the air cells were progressing, and realized there's been little change since day 14 and 16 candlings. I have to run the bator dry tonight... tomorrow is LOCKDOWN! While I was randomly checking air cells (about half the eggs), I was happy to see movement in each one! Tuesday and/or Wednesday should be hatch day....

That's funny! I want to say that that person should not have chickens, but we all have to learn at some time.
But I'm still laughing! :lau

So,Mutch going on. I have the chicken eggs in the bator,my muscovy hen setting on her eggs.the bantam that just hatched chicks a week ago.and now my new muscovy hen started laying, and she had two eggs and I had a bantam decide she wanted to set on them.so I had to take her and put her in a cage by herself and put a nest with four eggs from my pair of black Silkies.
