"Springing in the Chicks" 2016 April Hatch-a-Long Hosted by Mike & Sally

Morning Mike! :frow DH made arrangements to buy a bred dwarf nigerian nanny. More adventures! :barnie

She's awful cute, though. :love

Good Morning!
That's wonderful!!!  :yesss:

Do you know a due date?

My next one is due May 2nd is.   I need to post some pics of the last two group of kids we had.

We don't have an exact date, but May sometime. I catered a wedding over the weekend and the mother of the bride was breeding the dwarf Nigerians, but is in the process of switching to pygmies. The nanny is bred to a pygmy. Anyway, she couldn't remember the exact date.

We're going to sell our pygmy doeling to make room. She's just not tame enough for our program. She'll eat from your hand, but if you try to pet her then she bolts.

The lady stopped by my goat coop on her way out and just LOVED it and loved my little twins. I looked at pics of the nannies pervious twins and they were the size of a yorkie. :love

Well, I can see that I'm already super far behind in posts! 24 EE/OE eggs and 12 Royal Palm turkey eggs went into the incubator on Friday, April 1st. Our new coop is almost complete, just need to add some roosting bars and put wire around the run. Progress has been a little slow on it since one week it will be in the 70s-80s and the following week, we'll have 3-4 inches of snow XD
Good luck with your hatch! I'm glad you are making progress on the new coop.

I'm very far behind in posts again!

That will be so fun!! We just finished our kidding season here. I love our niggies.

I'm so nervous! These are my first goats and I'm not sure what to do. They said she's never had trouble kidding before. I'm just going to move into the barn. There's wifi, so I'll be alright.

I know that feeling. We got our first goat that was bred, she kidded 3 days after we brought her home with triplets! I learned a lot in a very short time!
