That's so weird, maybe it's still in the baton but hiding or something? What day are the eggs on... Could it have hatched? (Silly question)

I have a 1588...so even though it's full I pulled all the silkies out and counted them. Only 17 and should have had 18. Luckily I wrote 1-72 on all the eggs as I candled so I know which number is missing. Couldn't have hatched..they are all at day 6-9 in the process. I know it's not in there because all my other eggs are blue, green, copper, and large, lol. I'm really missing an egg. Looked all over the floor and around furniture. All I can wonder is if I somehow left one out last night and the dog could have gotten it that way? But still doesn't make sense because she didn't act guilty about anything. (And trust me, you know when she did something because she sulks and would be the worst poker player ever.) had animal control at the house one day and I knew she had done something before I even saw the card bc she had her head low and was looking at me like "oh crap". (She had gotten out an open door and ran around the neighborhood before coming back home.)

I just don't get it, lol.

Hu that's odd. When was the last time you saw the egg?

<<Ahem>>  May I have your attention please?  I have two new chicks!  Noticed a little hole in the shell of one about 12:30 in the morning.  Got all excited, double checked humidity, and finally went to sleep.  Woke up at 4:45 to the sound of very demanding cheeping!  Little Olive Egger named Yokel (for @LocalYokel
 just as I promised I would) and it's so doggone strong!  Then later on in the morning I noticed a pip in another egg - and we have a little Cream Legbar!  And that was another one that hatched fast....nothing at 7 am, pip at 8, and hatched sometime around 10.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

So I'm home and thank goodness no more hatchlings when I got home but now u feel bad for my one lonely chick in the brooder, poor Earl-y, all alone ...

If you move it to the brooder add a stuffed animal and a small mirror to keep in company.

I can do the stuffed animal but I don't own any mirrors, I am female but I have one each bathroom attached to the walls why would I need more???

My 4 yo may ?? Not 100% sure though would have to find it under the boas and tiaras

I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you played dress up with them while you looked. So did you ever figure out that I was incubating Anconas over here?
