After a long cold winter, my little hens are loving spring. After Mosi was finished being broody she still didn't lay any eggs for about 5 months. We thought she was defective. Also, Marahute' had a rough molt and I felt so sorry for her. Some nights when it was 10 degrees or colder, I would bring the chicks in. I could tell she was in pain when I had to pick her up to move her. Now all of her feathers have grown back and both chicks look so fluffy and healthy! They have also BOTH been laying eggs up a storm which is wonderful. Nothing beats fresh eggs and I even have enough to share with family.
