Can ducks eat sprouted (in water) malted barley? Husband has taken up home-brewing, thinks we should feed malted barley to ducks? (Put in water until sprouts then dried out). Not finding much on Google search

Yes you can feed sprouted barley to your ducks. I have feed barley that has sprouted and grown to the height of 4 inches to my ducks and my chickens. care must be taken that no mold is in the sprouts. watch your temps make sure you use just fresh water no recirculating systems. not too dry not too wet. It took me three months to figure it out. but it makes one pound of barley 7 pounds of green fodder in 8 days.
