Spur bumps on chicks? Buff Orps, EEs, Cochin

If there are spur bumps on chicks, are they definitely roosters?

I have some 5 week old buff orps and some have spur bumps. Same with a few of my 4 week old EEs. I'm keeping an eye on the 3 week old Cochin.

Do some breeds get spur bumps regardless of sex, or are they the sign of a definite roo?

all chickens have bumps on there legs, pictures would be best if you want to know what sex they are

Actually, I just did a search and found it doesn't mean anything... so I'll just have to wait and see.

5 weeks, even 4 weeks, are perfect ages to tell gender by comb size and color though, especially in single combed birds like yours.

Post pics, and we'll sex them for you!
