Spur, Oak, and Snow- A Turkey Roleplay

Bessy couldn’t help it as a smirk appeared on her face, the lead hen pecked her on the head and she backed down, that independent, strong part of her that was always itching for a fight screamed to challenge the lead hen but the sensible part won and Bessy backed off. “Yeah sure” she agreed until the hen insulted her to her face.
“Oh believe me, I’m capable of intelligence I just have to dumb myself down so you can understand me” Bessy retorted, she did not appreciate being called dumb.
A good comeback, if Acorn was honest. And she was a little unfair to Bessy. She didn't want jakes and jennies to be wet blankets. It was just... the suggestion of intelligence in a dumpy was a bit unsettling to her. Especially considering how dangerously huge they were. The only way rangers felt they could stay on top was by ignoring them. Bessy just couldn't be ignored.
If Bessy hadn't said the last bit, she would have won Acorn's rare apology and some advice.
But Acorn loved competition. And she always wanted to get the last word. "You don't need to try that with me. I'm your leader. REMEMBER THAT." Acorn gave Bessy another firm head peck. "And if you're going to keep walking around like that, just don't run into any trees. We might need a few paths to follow, and you appear to be plowing a trail." Acorn gestured dramatically at the snow behind Bessy with a wing.
"Is it safe?" Noodles asked cautiously
She stood up and shook her feathers to get the snow off.
She ran quickly back to slate and dived under his warm feathers.
"I think so," said Slate, watching the path Bessy had made nervously. As safe as you could be in this place anyways. He fully expected a wolf to pounce right out of the underbrush at any moment.

Bessy decided she wouldn’t argue any more with her, it was pointless. And all it would do is make Acorn dislike her even further than she already did. Bessy just nodded and tightened her leash on her temper so it didn’t get out of control and risk aggravating Acorn even more than she already had. Bessy had done a surprisingly good job of getting under the lead hens skin, maybe this crack pot theory of her being next to take over was so crazy after all. Not if maybe acorn didn’t mind her, but at the moment Bessy was pretty sure Acorn didn’t like her at all.

(Alrighty, you might have to fill me in @Amer)
(Everyone's just waking up so your charry isn't behind. You would probably find a read through entertaining but basically in the domestic flock Slate woke up and warmed up Noodles the Beltsville white turkey poult and was bullied by Bessy who then walked away and got yelled at by Acorn.
Join Slate and Noodles if you wish.)

(That's great, thanks!)

Kaede walked up to Slate, and Noodles, "Hey Slate, Noodles," she said, nodding her head at each, "what are you doing?"
