Spur, Oak, and Snow- A Turkey Roleplay

“I certainly do,” Slate said, wondering why his reasonable idea had evoked such an emotional response. “The other flock members are feeling well,” he said, thinking about Bessy’s confrontational attitude. Well enough to continue asserting their derisive societal roles.
"Well then, I will be the first to go with you!" Kaede said proudly.

Acorn walked away, satisfied that Bessy had learned her lesson. Unfortunately, she became one of the turkeys Copper shoved out of the way.

“What do you think you’re doing, fluff-for-brains?” she snapped, pecking Copper on the noggin. “You’re plowing broader snow-trails than Bessy!”
Copper, suddenly finding his noggin pecked, cringed, momentarily confused. Who would dare to peck his noggin?!

Copper whipped around. Unfortunately, it was a rather slow maneuver, seeing as he was large and the snow greatly inhibited his movements. He was fully prepared to let loose the wrath of Copper, the greatest turkey to ever live!

Then he locked eyes with her.

Acorn.

His greatest adversary. His most dangerous enemy. His horrible nemesis.

For one moment, Copper was annoyed enough to consider pecking Acorn right back on her ever-so-wrinkly noggin.

But he didn’t.

Copper lowered his head submissively. “Sorry,” he mumbled, all confidence and arrogance gone. “Didn’t see ya there.. Acorn.”

When Kaede heard the thump, she turned her head, and stood up straighter, "Oh no..." Kaede huffed, "Good morning Copper." she said, sarcastically.
Slate gasped. He had never seen a jake or jenny audacious enough to speak sarcastically to Copper. What kind of crowd am I even getting into?
"Well then, I will be the first to go with you!" Kaede said proudly.
"Good!" said Slate. Welp, that went better than planned. "But not just by ourselves, right? We still need the others, right?"

"I see," Acorn murmured, clicking her beak demurely. Her murmur was as much a murmur as a growl, of course. Even at her most aloof, she was still aggressively competitive. "Don't do that again."
(Acorn reminds me of Miss Pross but I created her before reading Tale of Two Cities (abridged) so she's totally original, lol. )

"Back up would be a good idea!" she said, "Then someone can come back for help if one of us get hurt, or in trouble."

"EXACTLY!" said Slate, simultaneously forgetting that he was talking to what he considered a superior --all were his superiors except the poults-- like a familiar and that the farm was within flying distance--even for a domestic turkey, at least a scrawny one like himself if he worked hard enough.

Kaede doesn't like being bossed around, and especially not her flock members, and she wasn't worried about Copper.

("The duck to the chicken: "Hey, you wanna swim with me?" asked the duck, "No thank you." replied the chicken, and walked off ~ The duck smiled and told himself: "To each his own!" our signatures have the same energy")
(I was hoping to put: The duck shrugged his wings, and said, smiling....") (But it was too many characters)
