Spur, Oak, and Snow- A Turkey Roleplay

Accepted. :0 what if she’s related to Willow?! They’re the same age and genetically possible. This just spiced up the drama.

llol
This charrie form had me rolling.
Oh, and since you’re probably wondering what she is, a brown meat turkey would be broad breasted bronze. Definitely accepted!
Your’s is a Narragansett??)

No, but Narragansett is a recessive sexlinked gene passed from fathers to daughters. If the father had one copy, he would not express it, but half of his female offspring would since females only need to have one copy to express it. In wild turkeys there is something called "smoke phase." These birds are actually Narragansett colored. Look up smoke phase on google. Since it is a sex linked gene it is far more common in females. So this is rare, but it is entirely possible that a wild turkey father would have a bronze and Narragansett daughter. Or a domestic turkey for that matter.
I didn't want to say this because it enables people to make strange colored wild turkeys too much, but there you go.
Oh and by the way only about 1 percent of wild turkeys are Narragansett. TBH though, because of all the commercial turkeys out there, less than 1 percent of domestic turkeys are Narragansett, but they are more popular in small farm settings.

hats fine. Though mine is domestic. They could be related. Like maybe her egg was originally from a wild female.

They could be. Honestly, I don't know where Willow came from. I was thinking she probably had a wild father and domestic mother (who wanted to hatch eggs in the woods or corn) or something. My turkey tried hatching eggs in a field once but she got hit by a hay chopper.

Name: Fox
Oak or Spur Flock: Spur
Rank: Sib Wingman
Sib (for Spur): Open
Age: 1 year
Breed: Wild
Appearance: Small wild turkey tom
History: Uninteresting
Personality: Optimistic and overconfident, Fox is kind to everyone he meets. Feels bad for the domestic turkeys and tries to help them out when he can. Rest is to be RPed.
Other: Does anyone want to complete his sib?

Name: Copper
Rank: Tom
Age: 4 years
Breed: Heritage
Appearance: A particularly large and beautiful heritage bronze turkey.
Mate: Open
History: The humans thought he was too pretty to eat and kept him around for a while for his looks and his use as a breeder. He became a somewhat experienced ranger. (Though, of course, he greatly exaggerates his foraging and survival skills to anyone who will listen.)

During those uncommon 4 years of life, he climbed the ranks and eventually became the Lead Tom of the domestic flock. Everything seemed to be going great for Copper. He had plentiful mates, chicks, and was the most superior turkey in the entire flock. Though, to be honest, he didn’t have much competition- almost every other male turkey in the flock was under a year old. The female turkeys, meanwhile, kept their hierarchy mostly separate

Then Acorn happened.

After one (short) fight, Copper was suddenly not the top of the flock. And, worse, he had been usurped by Acorn, a grouchy, motherly, old (in the flock’s standards) turkey. Even worse, she started to treat him, Copper, the greatest and most accomplished ranger and turkey in the flock, as a dissatisfied jake. Copper was a lot of (very cool) things, but he was certainly not a disobedient jake. He was one of the oldest turkeys in the flock!

When Copper awoke to everything around him burning, he secretly hoped that Acorn had been caught in the fire. And then, when she appeared and started screeching in his face, he hoped she would perish to a predator in their first night in the forest. And when that didn’t happen, he hoped she would keel over from a heart attack after seeing their burned home. And then he hoped…

Personality: Copper is extremely boastful and will exaggerate anything he does to amplify his image as the most awesome turkey ever. He’s prideful, emotional, and easily offended. Though he is not quick to fight, and it is almost a miracle that he stayed Lead Tom for so long. Begrudging and bitter about his defeat and the fact that they’re stuck in the forest without humans to feed them.

Annoyed with Acorn. Deeply annoyed that she might be a better leader than him.

Despite his overly inflated ego, Copper does have invaluable ranger experience and isn’t as quick to get into trouble/fights as you would expect. However, he will not at any cost offer his ideas or advice to Acorn unless she first specifically asks for it. Which is inconvenient, cause she’s the Lead Hen and such.
Other: He probably has some living chicks. Anyone can make them if they want (any age younger than 3 years).

When do we start? I can’t wait to start!
Sunday. We still have to fill so many roles.
@HeavensHens88 not sure it you saw the rp
Wild Turkey Form
Name: Thrush
Oak or Spur Flock: Spur
Rank: Leading (and most powerful) wingman
Fun fact: turkey wingmen are so called by me because they are literally wingmen to the sib leader. The sib leader does not allow the wingmen to mate, so they are basically backup dancers for him when he is trying to woo a lady.

Sib (for Spur): Can someone make Spur lead Tom? His other brothers?
Age: 3 years
Breed: wild
Appearance: Bronze. Handsome. Male.
71B93B06-865A-44E9-A75D-5D5DA7589EE3.jpeg

History: Thrush was the first to hatch. But second came his brother. When they were finally big enough to stop cuddling and start fighting, his brother put them all in line. Thrush couldn’t care less about being second. His brother lead the band of brothers up through the ranks. Their first year, their jake sib was the best of the jake sibs. Their second, their sib came second to a group of senior toms. Their third, he reigned supreme over all the turkeys. All with Thrush’s aggressive support and challenge to all challengers. Thrush fought hard for him. Now he advises him.
Personality: Bold, stubborn, but not brash, with leadership abilities and speaking skills that would have made Thrush an excellent leader himself. He doesn’t care though, he’s one of those individuals who will take whatever situation he’s in and just try to be the best he can in that place. Thrush is proud of his position as a leading wingman, and even more proud of his brother. He is extremely loyal to all his brothers. That doesn’t mean he won’t fight with them sometimes. Verbally anyways. Thrush is not interested in allowing any domestics in his flock, and he looks down on them. He is vehement about this. But Thrush never raises his voice, he just sounds rude and snide about it.

No worries. I will create another character I just don’t want to overload myself with characters which I probably won’t get a chance to play…
Btw neat characters
