Spur, Oak, and Snow- A Turkey Roleplay

Pics
Name: Hoppy
Rank: Jake
Age: 4 months
Breed: Heritage
Appearance: Narragansett turkey, has some extra tan/gold coloring (I’m sorry Amer, I don’t know how to describe turkeys XD)
Mate: None
History: Young Hoppy was always exceptionally friendly towards the keepers. And other turkeys. And any random chicken that took a second to stare at him. At one point, he almost got eaten by a visiting dog due to his friendliness. The keepers intervened before he got hurt, and Hoppy never even realized the dog’s intent. He thought they were just having a friendly conversation.

Hoppy was devastated when he tried to return to the farm after the fire and the keepers and the chickens were nowhere to be found. Though the flock considered him to be no better than a dumpy in brainpower, Hoppy was well aware that, after that day, he would never see the keepers (and the chickens) again.
Personality: Though in action he seems fairly stupid, a better way to describe Hoppy would be “eccentric”. Random and spontaneous, his oddness drives away most, despite his ever-enduring amiability. Talkative and near-philosophical at times, Hoppy is often detached from reality, something that may prove fatal in the wild.
Other: I’ve only really interacted with one turkey for a prolonged period of time, so I might mess up their mannerisms a bit.
I drew Hoppy. It’s not perfect, but I’m still proud, since this is the first time I’ve drawn a turkey like this. XD

Amer, I actually sort of used your drawing of Slate as a reference, so you deserve some credit, too. :p

You gave him the chubby cheeks! Lovely! I’ll definitely be adding it to the member page tomorrow. Finally finished my Acorn animation. Took me all evening.
My first *successful* animation! Not bad!

I had a chocolate turkey hen who used to display and get really macho sometimes. Once she even attacked me! She just “got in the mood” sometimes.

Thanks! Your drawings inspired me to draw him. :p
That’s hilarious that the females can display! Kind of like how some female pigeons will dance and coo like males.

How did you do it?!

I made a prelim sketch on paper of the first one, then added the second on top of that, then the third. I traced each individually and traced and colored each image individually digitally as though the others weren’t there. Then I took the three images to gif maker. Having the sketches on each other prevents the image from wobbling.
