Spur Problem?

Ok, thanks so much! Falcon is a good boy so he won't really squirm but Wren is a different story when his spurs start to grow... Well time to find a chicken muzzle, J.K.
I'd use a metal file to trim. I dohave that with mine, but anything softer would likely be shreded.
 
Also i would assume that there is live tissue allowing the spur to grow. Filing enough to be effective could result in pain for the rooster like accidentally cutting the quick while trimming a dog's nail?
Yep. Exactly, cut too far and it will bleed.

And Maybe it is like a deer's antlers?
