Not sure where this goes, can you file a roosters spurs?

We soften with oil and then twist them off. I dunno about filing?

Yes. Most people just cut a little off of it with a hacksaw leaving about a 1/4 inch, so there's no chance it will hurt the rooster.

Take some pliers, hold firmly, twist and pull. Should come off with little or no blood. Sounds bad but actually leaves him with a natural looking shorter spur.

Pet claw-clippers also work, although there is blood.
